These are a few reasons to go thrifting:
1. This is actually the best time of the year to thrift because everyone is purging(including myself) and are making donations.
2. We all just spent a million dollars (just kidding, but lots) on Christmas for family and friends.
3. You can add some trends for spring into your closet for under $20.00.
These are some tips before going thrifting:
1. Make a list of the trends you will be looking for.
2. Try to find a store that you can visit regularly, because they get new goods in everyday!
3. Make a budget, don't get caught up in that it's only $2.99. Male sure that the item you are buying could replace something in your current closet.

I wish I could say I had good luck thrifting but I never do. The area I live in just doesn't offer a great selection of places to choose from. My idea of thrifting is shopping at my local discount dept. store. I usually can pick up amazing items on sale that are brand new. That's about as far as my thrifting has taken me, ha!
ReplyDeleteGreat thrifting tips. Also go in with a plan because it can definitely be easy to get sucked into the $2.99 mentality and come out with things you don't need. Love your cardigan and the leopard together!
ReplyDeleteGreat cardigan find! I LOVE thrifting, but I hate that my favorite store closes at 6pm - it's always a mad rush to get there after work!
ReplyDeleteThat's so true lucky I have a decent one by my house , but they do close so early . If you come in at 6:15 they are starring at you to go:)

Yep - I HAVE to have something specific in my brainial region when I thrift; otherwise, I end up with sh!t I don't need. Right now I'm always on the hunt for cable knit sweaters and black leather jackets (plus I always check the shoes). Love your patterned tights with the leopard print. Excellent, Miz Lady.
ReplyDeleteI agree it's hard not to get caught up in all the bargains.

That sweater is really cute and I love the color and the way you belted it. Those tights are insane. I wish I could wear something like that!!!!
ReplyDeleteYou know I love thrifting....I love the belted cardigan over the dress..fabulous outfit Carrie..a vote for a vote..voted for you too;)

Yes Sheree, I am so envious of your thrifting living so close to NYC . Thanks for your vote that was so sweet.
DeleteI enjoy thrifting but I do agree that a budget is still a "must." I've bought things just because they were on sale, but if I don't wear something, it's not a bargain. Love the "racy" animal print with the "tame" cardigan, btw!
ReplyDeleteI have made that mistake a few times and end up having to donate the item back to the thrift store.thanks for the sweet compliment .
DeleteCUTE outfit!!
ReplyDeleteDiggin' the animal print! It's been way too long since I was at my fave vintage haunt.
ReplyDeletestopping by via circle of moms! i thrifted a fabulous army green military style jacket at the beginning of the season and it's been my best thrift this year. i agree, decided on a trend and go for it. get stuff you WILL wear and that won't sit in your closet for a year only to be re-donated (guilty of this once or twice:)
ReplyDeleteLove your tights! Very cute look.
