Adding some pizzazz to your black blazer

Hope everyone had a great weekend. My son was sick , so being at home got my creative juices flowing. I love personal and home design.  I usually seem to focus on one or the other. This weekend I was inspired for a few home redos and I will have pictures soon to follow. This post is dedicated to adding some pizzazz to my black blazer.

Xhilaration Lace Skirt- Target

At Thanksgiving time, my fabulous mom sewed this jacket, that was purchased at the thrift store for $1.99. I have a bad habit of buying things at the thrift store with a idea to transform them. The only problem is my sewing skills are not very good. I knew I wanted a jacket that was cropped and I had the detail of scalloping. So, this is the jacket when I first brought it to my mom. If you don't have a person that will help with your sewing projects most dry cleaners off tailoring services.

Do you sew your own tailoring or hire it out?

  4. I would have so much fun thrifting if I could only sew. By the time I send items out to be altered it's sometimes more expensive then buying them new. That jacket looks nice with the lace skirt.

    1. Marla, that is very true that tailoring can sometimes be very expensive. That's why I am so grateful she is willing to help me.

You're so creative with your DIY.
I usually do my own alterations but anything unusual or special and I'll ask my Mum to help too xo

    1. Thank you, yes I need to practice more on my sewing, but I get so impatient because it rarely turns out like I want it to when I do the alterations.
