Well, my DIY will be moved to tomorrow and is connected to today's post. Recently, when I have been visiting some of my favorite blogs, I have noticed their jean vest. I had a babysitter last week and went on a search for a jean vest. I came up empty handed and I was kind of bummed. The ones that were in the stores(not in my size) were between $50.00 to $100.00 and honestly I not sure how much I will wear this vest. Then, while I was driving home I remembered my daughter had received a few hand me downs that didn't fit her. I knew she wasn't interested in them, because she kept throwing them in my room. One of these was a jean coat. So, from that coat I made this jean vest in these photos for free! If you think you might want to make one them, check out tomorrows post. I did get this maxi dress from Old Navy on that day, so it wasn't a total waste. They have some great colors in this dress for only $30.00.
Hope everyone had a great 4th of July, we went to the pool all day. It was fabulous and relaxing. What did you do for the 4th?
I love the vest. Don't want to chop up my standby jacket but am waiting for 50% day at the thrift so i can start a cutting.
ReplyDeleteVery cool. I have been looking for a jean vest too, having seen a great look on Pinterest with a maxi skirt.
ReplyDeleteI have a BR jean jacket I am sort of sick of. Maybe I should take it to my seamstress...you've given me some ideas!
I've been looking everywhere for one! I've been to so many thrift stores to try and redesign a jean jacket and no luck. May have to check Old Navy and pay for one! Love how you styled yours, super cute dress! :)

I did the exact same thing with a jean jacket that I thrifted a while ago. It's one of my go to pieces. Love it with the dress too!
