Thrifted Sequin Pencil Skirt

This sequin pencil skirt was a very exciting purchase. I have seen similar skirts offered from a wide variety of prices. So, when I came across this baby for $2.99 (yes that's right!), I think I might have let out an excited shout. My mom came to the rescue again and altered the skirt. Well, after six inches of material being removed and new elastic- voila a fabulous sequin skirt! Sequins are not just for parties or certain seasons, they can be worn everyday. I have shown two different ways I have incorporated  this sequin skirt into my spring wardrobe.

Dressier look, I love this sheer lace shirt from Forever 21

Casual Look, I wore this to work. I paired the skirt with a gray t-shirt and a belt.

Sequins are a trend this spring, which is a continuation from the fall and winter of 2011.

The pink and green skirt are J.Crew's No. 2 Pencil Skirt, in the middle is the True Decadence Sequin Pencil Skirt, bottom right is Maliparmi's A-line Skirt, bottom left Herve Leger Sequin Pencil Skirt.

These are just a few options for sequin pencil skirts for spring. I threw in the sequin A-line skirt because I know some people would prefer A-line to pencil, plus I love that print. Which is your favorite? Would or do you wear sequins in the spring?

  2. I have never considered sequins for spring...I have to start thinking about how I could wear my sequin jacket again soon.

$2.99 for that great skirt! I love it...you look very chic. I like the fashion risks you take - you always look so polished and modern.

  3. Just thrifted a beautiful soft-green sequined tunic dress. I was inspired because I'd seen a flash of sequins on a t-shirt as a young lady was pumping gas. Can't wait to style it. Love your iterations on the skirt, and thrifted or gifted is always the way to go as far as I'm concerned.
